Bring your own list

One list, a shuffled card on every phone.

Each line you paste becomes one square.
Paste the list you already have
Most hosts know what goes on the card before they open the create page. Copy the whole list, tap Import list, and paste it into the box. With one square on each line, each line becomes one square, so a square like "Grandma cries, then laughs" stays in one piece instead of splitting at the comma. If the list came with numbers, bullets, checkboxes or quotes around each line, those come off for you, while anything that belongs to the square stays put, including a number at the start such as "3 people say you're on mute."

Specific moments make the best squares.
Ask an AI assistant for a first draft
If you're starting from a blank page, an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini can write a first draft in a few seconds. Tell it the occasion, how many squares you want, and to put each one on its own line. My Event Bingo doesn't connect to any of them; you copy what you like and paste it in. Read the list before you do, because you know which uncle tells the boat story and the assistant doesn't. Prompts to copy:
- Write 30 bingo squares for a baby shower gift opening. Make each one a specific thing that might happen, like the mom-to-be holding up a tiny pair of socks. One per line, no numbering, and reply with only the list.
- Write 25 short bingo squares for our weekly team meeting, using moments people will recognize, like someone talking while still on mute. Put each one on its own line and reply with only the list.
- Give me 40 bingo squares for a family road trip, things we might see or hear from the car. Keep each one under eight words, one per line, with no intro or closing line.

More than one player gets to call bingo.
From list to live game in four steps
- Open the create page and give the game a name.
- Tap Import list, just above the box where your squares go (the create page calls each square a call).
- Paste your list, or choose a .csv or .txt file, then tap Import.
- Read the note just above that box. It tells you how many squares came in and how many it skipped, such as repeats or lines that are too long, and Undo import puts your old list back. Then create the game and share the link or show the QR code.
Everyone plays live on their own phone, and the game doesn't stop at the first line, so more than one person gets a turn at calling bingo.
Lists that work well
Frequently asked questions
What if a square has a comma in it?
It stays one square. When your squares are on separate lines, only line breaks separate them, so commas, semicolons and other punctuation stay inside. If the whole list is on a single line instead, commas, semicolons and the | character separate the squares, and the note above your squares tells you that's what happened.
How many squares do I need?
At least 24 with a free center, or 25 without one, for the standard five by five card. You can add up to 500, and each player's card is drawn from the whole list.
Can I use emoji?
Yes. Emoji paste in like any other text and show up on every player's card. A flag or a very new emoji can look different from one phone or computer to the next, because each device draws emoji its own way. Text faces like :) come through as typed.
Can I reuse last year's list?
Yes. On the create or edit page, tap Export as CSV to save the squares to a file. Next time, open Import list, choose that file, and tap Import.
Is it free?
Yes. My Event Bingo is free to play. No purchase necessary, no real-money wagering, and no prizes of monetary value.
