1. Delete your account

MyEventBingo is operated by Coding Innovations. Deleting your account is self-service and takes effect immediately.

2. Why we ask you to sign in

Deletion is permanent, so we have to be sure the request is coming from the account holder. If anyone could delete an account by typing an email address, anyone could delete yours. Signing in is the only step we add, and you can do all of it here in your browser -- you do not have to reinstall the app or send us a message.

For the same reason we will ask you to sign in again immediately before the deletion runs, even if you are already signed in. That second prompt is what proves the person pressing the button is you and not someone using your unattended device.

3. What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• your sign-in and the email address attached to it, so the account cannot be signed into again;
• your player name, avatar, theme and the rest of your profile details;
• your friends list, and any friend invitations you sent -- including the email addresses and phone numbers you supplied for the people you invited;
• your saved sign-in sessions and tokens.

This happens straight away. There is no waiting period, no deactivated state, and no way for us to restore the account afterwards. If you want to play again later you are welcome to sign up again with the same email address -- it will be a brand new account with none of the old one's history.

4. What is kept, and why

Some records are part of other people's games as much as yours, and removing them would damage games for players who asked for nothing. Those records stay, but they no longer identify you:

• Games you created stay available to the people who played them. Your name is replaced by “Deleted player”.
• Games you took part in keep their results and scores for the other players, again showing you as “Deleted player”.
• Chat messages you sent stay in the conversation so it still reads in order, but the text of your messages is removed.

We also keep advertising and diagnostic records that are not linked to your name or email -- things like anonymous session identifiers in our logs. These are held under a time-based retention schedule and expire on their own rather than being deleted with your account. Our Privacy Policy describes them in full.

5. Deleting from the web app

If you are signed in on the web, you can also delete your account from your profile: open Profile, choose the Settings tab, and scroll to Delete your account at the bottom. It runs the same flow as this page.

Deleting from inside the iOS, Android and Windows apps is not available yet. Until it is, this page is the way to do it, and it works in any browser without installing anything.

If you signed in with Apple

Deleting your account here does not withdraw the Sign in with Apple permission you gave us. Apple keeps that permission in your Apple Account, and only you can remove it, so it is a step you take on your own device. Open Settings, tap your name, then Sign-In & Security, then Sign in with Apple, select My Event Bingo, and choose to stop using your Apple Account with it. This is optional, and it does not affect the deletion, which has already run.
